Adhering to their slogan, this college fest holds numerous opportunities for the participants to showcase their talents in various fields such as dance, music, fashion, photography, theatre, literature, etc. The evenings during this college fest are known as “Pro Nights”, where concerts are held and renowned celebrities like Armaan Malik, Sachin-Jigar, Shankar Mahadevan are some of the singers who have graced their stages.
Crossroads is the annual cultural fest at SRCC under Delhi University. The fest is usually held in the month of March and lasts for about 4 days. This college fest is one of the best in Delhi University due to it consisting of various fun activities, cultural nights, competitions, amazing foods, concerts, etc. Various celebrities like Salim Sulaiman, Guru Randhawa have performed and made the students dance to their beats in this college fest.
Waves is the annual college fest of BITS Goa. It is held every year in the months of late October and early November and lasts for 3 days. Waves has seen a participation of about 2000 students from about 100 colleges in its various events and competitions. Oasis is the 4 day long annual cultural college fest of Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. When Oasis started back in 1971, it was a small event but now it is known to entertain students from about 200 colleges from all over India. Various events such as drama, dance, treasure hunts, fashion shows, etc, take place in this college fest. The most renowned events of this college fest are the professional shows where celebrities like Kailash Kher, Neeraj Shridhar have performed.
The annual college fest of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Saaraang is a 5 day long cultural fest and is held in the month of January every year. Started in the year 1974 with the name ‘Mardi Gras’, Saaraang is now one of the most awaited college fests in India and is known to host almost 50,000 attendees every year. It comprises of a vast range of competitions and cultural events and has been graced by many known celebrities in their music fests.
Rendezvous is the four day long cultural event of IIT Delhi. It started back in the year 1976 and is held annually in the month of October. Around 70,000 students are known to have attended this college fest because of its wide range of competitions and musical events. Widely known as RDV, Rendezvous has experienced melodious and rocking performances by various celebrities like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Arijit Singh, etc.
Milan is the national level cultural festival of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. The event started in the year 2008 and it lasts for about 4 days. Ever since then Milan has made a trademark by holding more than 100 competitions and events in various fields such as dance, art, music, etc, every year. In 2015, Milan attempted to break the Guinness World Record of 100 hour non-stop events. It first started in the year 1971 and is considered to be Asia’s largest college cultural fest. This college fest is attended by almost 80,000 students from 700 colleges all over India, every year. Mood Indigo holds various competitions in the fields of dance, music, art, design, literature, etc. Mood Indigo like every other college fest holds concerts and has witnessed the gracious presence of celebrities like Asha Bhosle, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Zakir Hussain and even international bands like Meja, Porcupine Tree, etc.
Pulse is the seven day long cultural event hosted at AIIMS Delhi. It is surely one of India’s largest college fests as it holds around 200 events with almost 10,000 visitors per day. Participants from over 700 colleges take part in this college fest, making it the largest event of the medical community in India. Various literary, socio cultural, sports, dance, musical, theatre and fashion competitions and events take place in this college fest.
