Chithi Aaie hai Singer Pankaj Udhas passes Away at 72
Legendary Gazal Singer Pankaj Udhas passes away at the age of 72 due to prolonged Illness. He has a very significant contribution to Hindi Cinema Music and took Gazal to a commercial level.
Pankaj Udhas’s daughter Nayaab Udhas announced on Instagram about her father’s demise.
The Gazal Veteran Pankaj Udhas took his last breadth at Breach Candy Hospital , Mumbai. He was known for not one many of his compositions like “Chandi Jaisa Rang hai tera”, ” Chithi Aaie Hai” and many more.
In few previous interviews , Pankaj Udhas had shared that he first wanted to become a doctor however life had its own plan.
Early Life of Udhas
Born in Jetpur, Gujarat. He had three brothers, and he was the youngest of all. He first attended Sri BPTI Bhavanagar School and lated passed out of St Xavier’s College in Mumbai after his family moved to Bombay.
All the three brothers of Udhas family were playback singers. His family belongs to a place near Rajkot and were Zamindars.
Family Life of Pankaj Udhas
Married Farida Udhas in 1982. This was a love Marriage in those times. Well not many but all of us say that the inspiration of Pankaj Udhas’s composition must be his spouse Farida Udhas.
Their Love Story began when Pankaj Udhas saw Farida for the first time in his neighborhood and later got to know that she is his neighbor only. Before getting married, Farida Udhas was a Airhostess.
Soon both their parents got to know about their affair and said no to the fact of marrying outside the community as Farida belonged to Parsi Family.
Both the couple wanted their parents blessings so waited for both of them to say yes and tied the knot on 11th Feb 1982. The couple was also blessed with two daughters Nayaab and Reva.
