Jasprit Bhumra makes a come back in Ireland
A T20 series against Ireland wouldn’t mean that big a deal for our Indian Cricketers as they have played matches at a much colossal level.
Three Matches are expected to be in Dublin, in the second half of August. Now why are Indian so excited for a sizeable T20 is because one said for all, its Indian Cricket and another thing to celebrate is that our very own Jasprit Bhumra is making a comeback with the T20 series with Ireland after a long injury break.
Jasprit has been recuperating after back surgery. The stressed reaction in his lower back must have assumed career-threatening proportions, but it seems now that Bumrah will be eased back into top-level cricket again, with the World Cup set to begin in a little over two months.
Its a delight for the fans of both Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian cricket to get their remarkable skipper back into the game. He is expected to lead a 15 member squad for the matches starting from 18th August 2023.
The series in Ireland is followed by the Asia Cup, to be played in the 50-over format ahead of the World Cup, and also an ODI series at home against Australia before the biggest event on the cricketing calendar this year.
After previous complications, the selectors and team management will be wary of increasing his workload too much too soon, and will like to see how he responds to four-over stints before asking him to bowl 10 in a match. Waiting for our Bumrah to bowl at the pitch and bat some runs.
